Welcome to Blue 1 Pre Primary 2024-2025 year we are very excited to discover, wonder, explore, and connect with our littles this coming year.
What makes our Learning` Environment special?
In our learning environment through play based learning the littles, will explore their interest with hands on experiences, collaborate with peers and educators, form new ideas and theories, discoveries, and wonder about the world around them.
What to expect this year:
The flow of the day:
With our daily rhythm the children will be able to expect what comes next in their day, no matter the time they arrive or picked up. Our rhythm is posted in our classroom beside our calendar.
Project based Learning:
While following the children’s interest we will be able to see where their inquiries lie, and through this exploration we as educators will be able to provide projects to help facilitate their interest. These projects could be big or small, last a few weeks to a few months, depending on where the flow of the children’s interest leads us.
Skills we will be focused on:
Social and emotional regulations: Incredible, Flexible, You program, Color Monster, and Bucket filling.
Fine motor: pencil holding, writing, drawing, molding, scissors
Gross Motor: running, jumping, balancing
Cognitive development/memory recall: puzzles, chapter books,
Open Communication:
Our educators have open communication with parents, other educators, and children. Our phone numbers are placed on our doors, and we are available for contact between 7:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday. If a the communication is needed outside of those hours, or if it would need a face to face meeting, we will be able to set up a meeting time.
Open Programs:
We have an open door policy which allows you to drop off and pick up when needed. We also have programs offered on certain days.
Music: every second Friday (twice a month) from 9:30-11:00am
Third place: Every second Monday (twice a month) from 9:30-11:00am
Drama: Every second Thursday starting in October 9:00-10:30am
Mad Science: The last Wednesday of each month 10:00-10:45am
